About Elaine Kovacs, LCSW (she/her)

Thank you for being here!

Grief impacts our minds and bodies, and when it goes unprocessed, it can have a lasting impact on ourselves and our loved ones.

My hope is to provide a safe and welcoming space to explore and process where you are at, where you want to be, and the supports as well as barriers in your life.

Having both personal and professional experiences with grief, caregiving, and complex family dynamics, I am particularly attuned to clients facing those challenges, no matter their role.

I look forward to speaking with you about what you are hoping to process and work through in therapy.  I tailor my sessions to the needs of client, and offer a space where we can explore this journey together.

This is often not an easy first step, and I am grateful you are here.

Hello, I'm Elaine Kovacs, LCSW.  I am a licensed psychotherapist providing mental health counseling and therapy services.  I am also the business owner of Lifting Clouds Therapy.

I obtained my MS in Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin in 2013, and have since worked in Austin, TX, Atlanta, GA, and now the Portland, OR metro providing clinical social work services and individual therapy.

I have a diverse array of 10+ years of professional experience in crisis care settings, substance use treatment, hospitals, in-home care management, and group private practice.

I am currently licensed to provide mental health therapy and counseling services as a LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in Oregon and Georgia.
